Tear a roll of biodegradable, flushable paper towels into individual sheets. Fold each individual sheet in half and stack them one on top of the other in a pile.

Place the stack of folded paper towels in a bread pan. Pour 2 cups of water into a small saucepan.

Place the saucepan on your stovetop and bring the water to a boil. Turn off the burner once the water boils.

Add 1 tbsp. of olive oil and 1 tbsp. of liquid baby soap to the water after boiling. Combine the ingredients together using a metal whisk.

Pour the contents of the saucepan over the paper towels in the bread pan after whisking. Allow the stack of paper towels to cool and store in a zip lock plastic storage bag.

Things You Will Need

  • Biodegradable, flushable paper towels
  • Bread pan
  • Saucepan
  • Water
  • Olive oil
  • Liquid baby soap
  • Zip lock plastic storage bag

Tip

Purchase biodegradable, flushable paper towels online or from a janitorial supply company.

If you do not have olive oil on hand, sunflower or vegetable oil will do.

Warning

Avoid using ordinary paper towels when making your own baby wipes. If the paper towels do not specify that they are biodegradable and flushable, they may clog your toilet.
