Traditional games like Truth or Dare can become quite boring and predictable for young adults. Peas and Straws Game

Cook a few cans of peas. Spoon 20 peas on several plates. Put plates on a large table. Place an empty plastic cup and drinking straw beside each plate. Have a teen sit in front of a plate. On the word "Go," the teen must use nothing but the drinking straw to transfer all 20 peas on the plate to the cup. The first teen to transfer all the peas to the cup wins the game.

Eaties Game

Make sure none of the teens have food allergies. Prepare several kinds of mushy foods, such as mashed potatoes with gravy or stewed apples, for as many teens there are. Let cool. Put each food on separate plates. Have teens sit at a table and blindfold them. Put a plate in front of each blindfolded teen and provide them with a plastic spoon. The blindfolded teens must taste the foods and try to guess what they are. The first teen who guesses the food on his plate wins the game.

Swinging Doughnut Game

Hang holed doughnuts from a string from the ceiling. Tell teens to put their hands behind their backs. On the word "Go," the teenagers must try to eat their doughnut off the string without using their hands. The doughnuts will swing from side to side and all around as the teens try to bite their donuts. The first teen to completely eat his doughnut wins.

Banana Split Relay

Purchase banana split ingredients from the market, such as:

  • bananas
  • ice cream
  • sprinkles
  • fudge sauce
  • cherries

Put each ingredient in separate bowls in a row in the middle of a large table. Evenly divide teens into two teams. Have each team stand on the side of each table and each team member stand in front of an ingredients bowl. Provide the first teen of each team with a bowl and banana. The first teen must chop up the banana in the bowl and pass it on to the next player in the team. The next teen uses the next ingredient on the table to add to the bowl. Continue playing until every team member adds an ingredient. The first team to add all the ingredients to complete its banana split wins the game.
