Community Centers
The city of Vancouver (cityofvancouver.us) runs two community centers that will keep teens busy 1. Firstenburg Community Center has a Teen Zone and game room area with a big screen TV, video game systems, pingpong, pool and foosball. The center also has basketball courts, a pool with a slide, workout facilities and a rock wall. Marshall Community Center has a teen lounge, game room, fitness center, pool. and basketball. Both centers offer classes and camps for all ages. The Boys & Girls Club of Southwest Washington (mybgc.org) has 3 teen club locations, each with programs that include games, sports, swimming arts and tutoring 2.
Catch a Show
Cinetopia (cinetopia.com) is a cinema house with two Vancouver locations. Both locations show new releases featuring state-of-the-art audio and sound with many 3D options. The seats are extra wide and set up stadium style, which affords an excellent view no matter where you sit. The theaters offer dining, plus a concession stand with a butter bar where you can choose several butter and powdered flavors. Vancouver's Pop Culture (drinkpopculture.com) is a music venue and gathering place, especially for young people. Live music in a variety of genres is offered, plus board games, wireless internet, and a menu featuring hot dogs and more than 300 types of soda.
Outdoor Fun
Vancouver is a lush, green city with many parks to enjoy (cityofvancouver.us). Your skateboard or BMX bike enthusiast will enjoy the 10,000-square-foot Extreme Sports Park at Pacific Community Park 3. Wintler Community Park sits on the Columbia River, where teens can swim or relax on a float. Wintler has sandy beaches and paved walkways. Esther Short Park is downtown and is host to a water feature, farmers market and many teen friendly festivals, including the Hawaiian Festival, the Summer Concerts Program and the Wine and Jazz Festival.
Active Indoor Fun
When the weather is not agreeable, teens have many options for indoor fun. G6 Airpark (g6airpark.com) has indoor wall-to-wall trampolines with a basketball hoop, dodge ball court, and special areas for open jump, dodge ball and gymnastics tricks. Open jump, classes, birthday parties and special events are offered. Naydenov Gymnastics Center (ngymnastics.com) is a 30,000-square-foot facility offering gymnastics, dance and karate classes, plus a Friday Teen Night Out 5. This open gym time gives teens access to fun equipment like trapeze bars, trampolines, foam pits, swinging ropes and balls.
