According to James Privitera, M.D., the olive leaf was mentioned in the Bible. Throughout history, its medicinal properties have been recognized and used, especially in Europe. This element breaks down into elenolic acid, which is antibacterial and thus fights bacterial infection.
This product can be applied topically to fight infection when a child has an open wound. Its antibacterial properties help heal the soar and rebuild the damaged skin. The salve acts as an astringent for common cuts and it is beneficial for scrapes, burns and even diaper rash.
Flu and Cold
According to James Privitera, olive leaf extract fights the viruses that cause a flu or cold in children. It does so by obstructing the amino acid production that allows viruses to spread in the body. Additionally, it prevents the viruses from attaching to the cells and multiplying. Also, it activates the immune system so that it can fight and defeat the virus.
