Whether your child wants to improve his athletic skills or explore the the field of robotics, Logan has a summer program to pique his interest. Day camps and overnight camps are offered to keep your child busy, entertained and learning during the summer months. Enroll your child in several different camps to give him a well-rounded summer experience.
Children can cultivate their creative sides at one of the summer art programs in Logan. Cache Valley Center for the Arts provides an artistic summer camp experience for children aged 5 to 11. Campers are introduced to activities such as drama, ceramics, music and visual art. The Logan Library also offers a summer art camp for children aged 5 to 11. Children learn about drama, cooking, dance, music, visual arts and movie-making.
Utah State University Nike Sports Camps
Children can improve their athletic skills at the Nike sports camps offered at Utah State University. During the Nike swim camp, campers will work on their swim stroke skills to improve their competition performance. Stroke analysis and instructions will also be provided in a small group atmosphere. Campers at the Nike tennis camp practice their athletic skills for with instruction for up to six hours daily. The staff at the overnight camps provides 24-hour supervision and fun evening activities at both camps.
Introduce your child to nature by choosing an educational summer camp that focuses on the great outdoors, the environment or wildlife. Stokes Nature Center offers week-long overnight and day camps. Find a camp that caters to your child’s interest in subjects such as sustainability, fly fishing or geocaching. Willow Park Zoo also has a variety of day camps for children in kindergarten to 16 years old. The zoo introduces children to wildlife through its zoologist and zookeeper for a day camps.
4-H Summer Camps
Children can explore the wonders of science through one of the 4-H Aggie Adventures for Kids camps. Programs are offered to children entering grades one through six. The day camps offered throughout the summer focus on subjects such as robotics, science, technology, math and dinosaurs. Children learn about cooking, sewing, science and crafts in a camp that provides an opportunity to explore all the 4-H has to offer. Campers are responsible for their own lunch during day-long camps.
