What to Do at the Lake of the Ozarks With Kids

Lake of the Ozarks, nestled in the heart of Missouri, is a bustling resort town that draws visitors from all over the world each year 45. You can take your kids to splash and play at one of the area water parks. At Tan-Tar-A Resort, you'll find the Timber Falls Indoor Waterpark 2. Here, your children can play in the 3-story tree house with interactive spray features and a 6-foot-wide wooden dump bucket that dumps more than 600 gallons of water every minute. They can also float down the lazy river or zip down one of the water slides. You can also visit Big Surf Waterpark during the summer 2. Inside, your family can enjoy thrills on the waterslides, relax while floating down the 600-foot lazy river or splash in the 375,000 gallon wave pool. Younger children can play on Splash Island, a zero-entry pool with water levels reaching no more than 18 inches and featuring squirting animals, water bikes, mini slides and a water teeter-totter.

Rainy Day Fun

If you're looking for a fun way to entertain the kids on a rainy or cold day, head on over to Miner Mike's Indoor Family Fun Center. This 35,000-square foot facility features an assortment of family activities, such as:

Lake Activities
