The city of Roanoke, Virginia, serves as the cultural and commercial hub of the southwestern portion of the state. There are several possible birthday venues in the Roanoke vicinity amid the picturesque Blue Ridge Mountains and Roanoke River. Whether you're looking for an indoor play area, game center, a place to have a swim party or an area to just gather outdoors, you'll find what you need in this recreational-oriented area.

Fun Centers

Pump It Up specializes in parties for kids of all ages, offering gigantic inflatables, like bounce houses and obstacle courses, as well as private party rooms. Party options include food, cake and as a choice of themes like glow parties or adventure parties. Your party host takes care of setup and cleanup, making sure the birthday child has a memorable experience. Another birthday party option is the Putt Putt Fun Center, which provides a birthday package that includes a round on the 18 hole mini golf course, video game tokens, unlimited drinks, pizza, a free spin on the prize wheel for the birthday child, party favors and a party host.

Nature and Science

The Science Museum of Western Virginia hosts birthday parties and offers several themed-options. The butterfly party takes your group on a guided tour of the butterfly gardens. Or, your child can choose the party animal theme, which offers live animal presentations and an animal-themed craft.
